MASAI: The First Danish Fashion Brand to Gain FSC Certification

At Masai we want to do better, and we want to continuously improve our practices. We are fully aware that we have part in today’s shared challenges of the fashion industry. In 2019, we reached out to FSC Denmark and the same year, we became the first Danish fashion brand ever to gain FSC certification. This was a natural focus area for us, since large parts of our collections have always been made from wood-based viscose fibres. Today, wood-based fibres make up around 60% of our total fibre use, and the vast majority of these are FSC-certified. This has been a significant achievement in our overall sustainability and CSR strategy. Our FSC certification has led to many other initiatives and we are very thankful for the positive awareness the certification has given us from both press and customers. 
We are definitely proud to have come this far. However, we are not done and we strive to do everything we can to make more sustainable and climate friendly choices.
