A WORLD WHERE FORESTS AND FASHION CAN COEXIST IS POSSIBLE.
Celebrating Our Collective Impact
The Fashion Forever Green Pact officially came to a close at the end of 2025. This planned conclusion not only celebrates what we’ve achieved together but also inspires the progress still to come.
We extend our deepest gratitude to all signatories, partners, and supporters who answered our call to champion responsible sourcing within the fashion industry—on behalf of the world’s forests. Your dedication and collaboration have made a lasting impact.
Although the pact has ended, FSC’s mission to support responsible sourcing continues. Thank you for being part of this important chapter.
Remember: Commitment is the catalyst for industry-wide change.
WHY THE PACT MATTERED
The fashion industry has increasingly turned to man-made cellulosic fibres (MMCFs) as a sustainable alternative to traditional textiles. MMCFs represent one of the fastest-growing segments in global fibre production. However, over 50% are sourced from uncertified forests, leaving supply chains vulnerable to deforestation and illegal logging.

The Fashion Forever Green Pact was created to mobilize the fashion industry and accelerate the uptake of FSC solutions at scale. Through collaboration, the pact brought brands, suppliers, and partners together to drive responsible sourcing, advance FSC‑certified materials, and strengthen supply‑chain transparency.
Other natural materials, such as rubber and cork, also play a vital role in creating renewable, forest-friendly products—but only when sourced responsibly. FSC certification remains a proven solution for verifying these commitments and ensuring forests are protected for future generations.
